Register your class today for the Canadian Parents for French Virtual Bilingual Career Fair from November 18-29, 2024.
This virtual event will give high school French Immersion students (grade 9-12) from across Canada the opportunity to learn about career paths where speaking French as an additional language is an asset. Since this event launched in 2020, the event has hosted hundreds of participants across the country.
- Classrooms are invited to view pre-recorded videos in French and execute interactive lesson plans to learn from aspirational professionals whose French has helped shape their careers.
- The fair also features live zoom Q&A sessions that classrooms can sign up for to talk one-on-one with this year’s presenters.
- Lastly, participants are invited to compete in a scavenger hunt to encourage them to explore the fair content and enter to win educational prizes.
Our bilingual presenters (who all learned French in school) include:
- A corporate lawyer from Montreal
- A banking and securities professional from Nova Scotia
- A journalist from British Columbia
- A government worker from Employment and Social Development Canada from Newfoundland
- A university researcher
- An Indigenous Engagement Officer from New Brunswick
- A Lieutenant Colonel from Prince-Edward-Island
Registered classes will receive the password to access the Career Fair Portal below on November 11.
